Hot Chocolate a Hit and so are The Gremlins
Temperatures in the low 40's for the first season game did not stop the Gremlins hot bats as the Greminger Gremlins (1-1) rolled to a 25-5 victory over the Aligators (0-1). Almost everyone earned an opportunity to run the bases and score as the team spirits rose with each swing of the bat. The Gremlins took control from the outset averaging five runs an inning. The Aligators fought back and started to put back-to-back hits together, but a textbook, 6-5-3 double play turned by Rob, Barbara, and Sharon stopped the drive. The Aligators never recovered after that. One thing added this game that the team did not have before was a beverage, which is so important to fluid hitting. Hot chocolate, consumed by all, may have been the key ingrediant in this weeks win only time will tell. The team plans to continue bringing 3 gallons of hot water to mix their concoctions.
