Gremlins Find their Rhythm The Gremlins put great hitting together with good fielding to chalk up a "W" wednesday night, playing against Live Ride, a fun team to play. The final score --I'm guessing --was around 16 to 10. Both teams came out hitting. Live Ride got on the scoreboard early with a 3-0 lead. The Gremlins came right back and took the lead 4-3 in the bottom of the inning. The lead changed hands for the next couple innings until the Gremlins' bats got hot in the fifth inning and kept the lead. Thanks to all that came to the game and played or supported us. Special thanks to Derek's father-in-law, who hit a homerun. Highlights of this game include a great running catch by Gregg Taylor and a homerun by Derek Greminger. My favorite highlight, though, was the team prayer at the end of the game. That was awesome. The other team invited our team to pray with them at the end of the game. We formed a large circle out near the pitcher's mound ( I wish I had that picture). They thanked us for all that we do for their kids in school (some of our students were in the bleachers) and we prayed. They also thanked us for a wonderful game. Hey, does it get any better than that? Well, I guess it does if you didn't strike out. video one
