Gremlins Tie League's Undefeated Team It was magical; the Gremlins coming from behind in the seventh inning to tie the Ball Busters, the leagues only undefeated team and on top of that, the Ball Busters were just a fun team to play. The game turned out to be a defensive one as both teams did well to keep the runners off the bases. It was a low scoring game for all but the last innings. The Gremlins fell behind in the first inning 2-0 but caught the Ball Busters in the second inning on a home run by Rob with Stasie on base. It remained 2-2 until the fouth inning when the Ball Busters scored 3 to take a 5-2 lead. The Gremlins came right back scoring three runs to tie the game at 5-5. The Ball Busters broke it open in the sixth with a five run inning and with the Gremlins facing their last at bat in the seventh down five runs, the magic happened and the hits began to fall: A single by Elizabeth Greminger, a single by Sharon Dawson, a double by Ken Crumrine, double by Kevin Baxter and a triple by John Baxter. With two outs the Gremlins tied the game 10-10 on a single by Barbara Ward that drove in the runner at third, but the game was still not over. The Gremlins still needed three outs to earn the tie game. With two outs and a runner on second, the final Ball Buster popped up to the pitcher.
