Come Together to Win Sometimes everything just comes together, when all the forces, karma, and gremlins seem to work for a team. Wednesday night was one of those nights as the Gremlins defeated the Trans World Tilers 15 -7. The last time these two teams played the karma seem to flow the other way and the Gremlins were on the other end of the 15 -7 finish. It helps, though, when you have a guy like Ladd (MVP) who makes incredible running, diving catches in left field, the kind you usually pay money to see at a Dodger game. He caught every diving catch. The last one he caught it, he came up throwing (out of his slid on the grass) and doubled up the runner at second to finish out the game. What a way to finish. At one point during the game he humbly asked Derek, the manager, if he thought is was a good time for him to hit a home run since the Gremlins had two runners in scoring position. Derek gave him the go-ahead, and Ladd unloaded the first pitch way over the trees and wall in left field for a three-run homer. The Gremlins started off holding the Tilers to a few base hits in the first two innings while piling up 8 runs, but then the Tilers found their stride and began to put the hits together adding six runs in the third. inning. The Gremlins did not fade, though, and continued to put the hits together and stretched their lead to 15 over the next few innings. The Tilers began to rally in the bottom of the seventh inning when Ladd made a spectacular catch and throw to end the game.
