Game 3.25.07
Now That Was Fun! It was just a fun and entertaining night as the Gremlins took on SNAFU (Situation Normal -All Fouled Up) on a beautiful night for softball. Everything was great about the night except the hitting and the score. Being with a fun group of people, though, who cares what the score is. We had some great fielding. Ryan turned a textbook doubleplay and Loren made a few great plays from third. The outfield didn't need to run the treadmills the next day. They got their exercise that night. We just need to work on our hitting now. SNAFU hitters turned out to be all power, driving balls into the trees at almost every at bat. All I kept hoping for was a good richette off one of the trees or the cemetary wall. They could hit, but they were fun to play. I've never seen a team chant "Strike him out,": "Strike him out," over and over for one of their own batters, which they did a lot. It turns out that the guy that strikes out must wear this tight, pink blouse if they do. A couple times I saw a guy wearing it during the game, but I didn't know what he did wrong to deserve to wear it. We missed all the people that couldn't be there. We hope Vivian will play next time. Special thanks to Gail for bringing chocolate chip cookies and for keeping the scorebook. Thank you Leslie for taking the pictures for this game. I've posted pictures as well as added a few more funnies that LaRock has sent my way. It really was a memorable night. It's fun nights like this that can keep you "forever young."
